Will the real Taliban please stand up – A little food for thought

The USA and her allied countries spent 20 years in Afghanistan, spent over a trillion dollars, trained 300,000 Afghan military personnel, and we believe they’ll just back out and leave with their tail between their legs? We think that their mission failed? That they’ll so easily accept that? We should think again and look at some historical truths.

It took 20 years, trillions of dollars and 4 US Presidents to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

When the British empire left India, the people rejoiced, thinking they were finally free of that occupation to move towards a new dawn. Yet, those same imperial forces had planted seeds of discord and division within us before they left causing an implosion so devastating that we are still suffering from its shock waves to this day. People across both countries are still suffering and begging for their voices to be heard. Not only that, but we have collectively succumbed to the enticement of the colonial mindset, so much so, that many of us willingly have followed our occupiers to their lands to continue building and strengthening their empires, Subhan’Allah.

So, we can see that everything isn’t so black and white. While we can see these forces leaving Afghanistan, we should understand that something sinister is being left behind. Perhaps a regime that has been trained and fashioned to appear like the Taliban (with some PR flashiness) to create civil unrest and manipulate the people. Perhaps, they are just glorified drones, doing the remote bidding of the very occupiers they claim to stand against. Could the USA have outsourced their occupation to these men?

Seeds, you see.

So if the real Taliban still exists in the Northern areas of Afghanistan, how will they react? What will Afghanistan look like in the coming months? Anything is possible. So, we should not be so quick to fall for the media’s rhetoric or become so tunnel vision in our own desires that we do not see reality. At the end of the day, the people of Afghanistan are our Brothers and Sisters and they are the ones suffering on account of all this. We must keep a clear head for them and be vigilant in checking our facts and sources without prejudice, Insha’Allah.

Taking all this into account, we can see that the end of times’ prophecies are coming true and are revealing themselves one after another. We would really encourage our readers to please read Sahih Al Bukhari: Kitab al Fitan (the Book of Tribulations) as well as the lecture series on the End of Times (End Series and Hereafter). To really understand where we stand and our role in all this as Muslims, we must invest this time and intellect to prepare ourselves for the world of today and that to come, Insha’Allah.

May Allah make it easy, guide us and grant us Baseerah, May He make His Law reign supreme in our lands once again, and may He protect us all and unite us in Truth, Ameen.
